Privacy

A plain description of what happens to what you write.

What we store

  • Your email address and a securely hashed password, so you can sign in.
  • Your journal entries: the date you choose, an optional title, the text you write, and when each entry was created and last changed.
  • Photos you attach, with their file name, type and size.

Who can see your journal

  • Inside talevie., your entries and photos are visible only to you when you are signed in. There are no public pages, profiles or sharing.
  • Photos are kept in private storage and only shown through short-lived links created for your signed-in session.
  • talevie. runs on standard cloud hosting and database providers, which process your data to provide the service. Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest by those providers, but this is not end-to-end encryption: the people who operate the service could technically access stored data. We do not look at your journal.

What we don't do

  • No AI processing of your writing.
  • No advertising and no selling or sharing of your data for marketing.
  • No public feeds, followers or social features.

Export and deletion

  • From Settings you can download everything — all entries and your original photos — as a ZIP file at any time.
  • You can delete a single entry, which also removes its photos. You can also permanently delete your account, which removes all entries, photos and the account itself. Deletion can't be undone.
